Are You In Christ? Is He In You?
The New Testament is clear that the position of the Kingdom Believer is "In Christ". Simply put, "In Christ" is to be one with Him. "In Christ" is yielding to His wisdom and His ways. Being "In Christ" means to take on His nature through the guidance and reception of the Holy Spirit. The believer's position is "In Christ" and the accessibility to spiritual benefits is "Through Christ". Spiritual benefits are made available to Kingdom Believers through Christ Jesus and because of Him.
The book of Galatians is one of the Apostle Paul's writings that identifies the closely knit relationship between Jesus Christ and Kingdom Believers. The redemption and benefits He secured on our behalf is precious beyond words. The grace that has been bestowed upon those who receive it has been frequently described as God's Riches At Christ's Expense...the first letter of each word in that phrase spelling GRACE. It is the favor of God given to people who don't deserve it and cannot earn it. Without His sacrifice we were all due death and destruction. But because of the Love of our heavenly Father and the obedience of His dear Son, the sin debt we owed has been paid.
Jesus paid it all / All to Him I owe / Sin had left a crimson stain / He washed it white as snow (Lyrics by Mrs. Elvina Hall, 1865; www.christianity.com; www.independentbaptist.com)
Galatians 1:1 KJV
Paul, an apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead)
The vocation to which you have been called is by Jesus Christ. No human being can prepare you or anoint you (cause you to be effective) for service in the Lord. Your vocation is your calling in God. It is what you are anointed and appointed to do. It is your assignment in influencing the earth realm on behalf of the Kingdom of God.
God the Father determines your spiritual vocation by and for Jesus. The Father put all things under the authority of His Son.
For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him:
It would be helpful to read Colossians 1:15-23 to gain more insight regarding this portion of scripture.
More to come from Galatians next time. Thank you for reading.
